While the vibrant rose petals
Are covered by the fresh snow,
With an overlay of frosty white,
Detailed, artistic design is on show.
With its beauty uncompared, the rose
Remains quietly, confidently in its place
As a backdrop to the intricate snowflakes,
The Creator covered the rose’s pretty face.
All the while, the Master Artist layered
The chilly elements on the bright rose;
In His time, the sun will melt the cold;
His handiwork is perfect - He knows.
So when the frigid days of life blanket
The comfortable, warm moments of sun,
Remember, in all kinds of weather to see
