This picture was taken on our church property in Texas as we were leaving for a visit to Tennessee for some much needed family time. We enjoyed our short time together and visits with loved ones – family and friends. During that week, several changes occurred and are still in progress. Changes are in schedules, locations, thoughts, vocations, directions, needs. In the midst of changes whirling and some ongoing unknowns, it is sometimes hard to focus on life today. Psalm 139:1-3 encourages me that the LORD not only knows all my thoughts, but also understands my thoughts. He knows the seasons of our lives. He knows when it's time to sit down and when it's time to rise up. He knows my questions and my fears. He knows my desires. He knows the afflictions ahead of me. He directs my path as I allow Him to. He gives me sweet sleep when I rest in Him. He is aware of my strengths and weaknesses; after all, He made me ~ "fearfully and wonderfully."
When we returned to this field of wildflowers, the Bluebonnets are no longer there. While the color of yellow still dots the land, change has occurred. There are seasons for all of us, and our amazing God knows each one – even of the wildflowers.
Whatever state you are in or whatever change you are experiencing, remember this: The LORD knows!
"To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven… He hath made every thing beautiful in His time." ~Ecclesiastes 3:1, 11a
