On My Windowsill

On my windowsill…

…an earthworm in a jar awaiting its 4 year old master

to awake from his nap,

…wild daisies picked by my other children and

…a wild rose with heart-shaped petals;

Outside my window…

…drizzling rain,

…birds chirping

…God's greenery;

Inside my window…

…quiet,

…peace,

…rest.
