Bible Reading Challenge 60 – Week 14

Writer: Jeri LynnJeri Lynn

Bible Reading Challenge 60

My Bible Reading Challenge 60 is completed! It could be correctly renamed "Bible Reading Challenge 96" as it took me 96 days instead of 60. Time does not permit me to share all the wonderful Truths found in these books. I am convinced that I need to saturate my mind with God's Word. When I have God's Word filling my mind, I am strengthened for the bumps in the road of life that come.

When I've read about the endurance of the Christian soldier, it encourages me in the spiritual battles that come. When I read of the love that should characterize the ministry of every Christian, I am called to check my motives in serving. When I read of the comfort God gives, I can receive comforted and give comfort.

I thank the Lord for the opportunity to own my own copy of His Word and for the freedom I have to read it anytime and anyplace. I am thankful for the ability to see and to read. I am thankful to God for the gift He gave us in the Holy Spirit Who helps me to understand His Word and is ever ready to instruct me in life's situations.

If anyone is reading this, I challenge you to read through your Bible. It does not need to be a 60 or 90 day challenge, but rather a determined, daily habit. To be honest, I prefer to read through the Bible slowly as to do word studies, but I will do this again. It was thoroughly helpful to my heart. I would be encouraged by your comments if you decide to take a Bible Reading Challenge. May God's Word enlighten your life with Truth!
